Start Here — The Conversation Opener
"When's the last time you checked whether all your cameras were actually recording?"
Most customers have no idea until something happens and they need the footage. myDW tells them — proactively — before it becomes a problem. That's the whole pitch. Everything else is details.
The Product

What myDW Does — In Plain Terms

myDW is a cloud-based health monitoring and management platform for DW surveillance systems. Your customer gets a single dashboard that watches their cameras and recorders 24/7 and alerts them when something needs attention — without anyone having to physically check.

🗺️
Auto-Plot Site Map
The dashboard opens to the Map tab by default. Registered recorders auto-plot to a map by the location entered during setup — instant visual overview of every site without manual configuration.
📡
Camera Health Monitoring
Connectivity loss, recording status, HDD health, image quality — all monitored continuously. Alerts fire when something breaks before the customer notices.
🔔
Proactive Alerts
Customers get notified of issues in real time — not three weeks later when they're trying to pull footage for an incident.
🎥
Secure Video Sharing
Share encrypted video clips via cloud link with management, HR, or law enforcement. No USB drives. No email attachments. No risk of virus or tampering.
👥
Multi-Site Management
One dashboard for all their locations. Especially valuable for customers with multiple sites who currently have no visibility across the whole system.
🔒
Multi-Factor Authentication
2FA and encrypted communications baked in. Speaks directly to customers in regulated industries or anyone who's dealt with a cybersecurity audit.
💻
No Software to Install
Browser-based. Works on any device, any OS. No IT involvement required for the customer. No plugins, no downloads, no support calls from them about installation.
Pricing

The Numbers — What It Costs Your Customer

myDW is priced at $3.00 per camera, per month (MSRP). Subscriptions are available in 12-month or 36-month terms. Channel counts are fully flexible — mix and match key sizes to fit the exact camera count at any site.

By Site Size — Annual Cost to Customer

Small Site
16
cameras
Per month$48
12-month$576
36-month$1,728
e.g. 1× 16-channel key
Medium Site
32
cameras
Per month$96
12-month$1,152
36-month$3,456
e.g. 2× 16-channel keys
Large Site
64
cameras
Per month$192
12-month$2,304
36-month$6,912
e.g. 1× 48-ch + 1× 16-ch key

Flexible Channel Bundling

Keys can be combined in any configuration to match the exact camera count at a site. You're never paying for channels you don't use, and you're never forced into the nearest tier above your actual count.

48-ch + 16-ch + 1-ch + 1-ch + 1-ch = 67 cameras exact — no waste
16-ch + 16-ch + 8-ch = 40 cameras retail, warehouse, school
48-ch + 48-ch + 24-ch = 120 cameras large commercial / multi-building

The Conversation

How to Bring It Up — A Natural Script

This isn't a hard sell. It's a question you already know the answer to. Most customers will recognize the problem immediately — your job is just to name it first.

You
"Hey, quick question — do you have any way of knowing right now if all your cameras are recording correctly?"
Customer (typical response)
"I mean... I assume so. Someone would tell me if they weren't, right?"
You
"That's exactly the gap. Nobody tells you — not until you actually need the footage. There's a service we offer called myDW that monitors your cameras 24/7 and sends you an alert if a camera goes offline, a hard drive is filling up, or recording stops. It's $3 per camera per month. On a 16-camera system that's $48 a month — and it means you're not finding out about a problem after the fact."
Why This Works
You're not pitching features — you're naming a real problem they've already experienced or quietly worried about. The price lands as reasonable because you've already framed the cost of not having it: missing critical footage when it matters most.

For Multi-Site Customers

You
"With multiple locations, you can manage all of them from one dashboard. You'd know about a camera issue at any site without driving there. For a lot of our customers with 3 or 4 locations, that alone is worth it."

For Technically Minded Customers

You
"It's browser-based, no software installs, SOC 2 attested, multi-factor authentication built in. Your IT team won't have anything to complain about."
Objection Handling

Common Pushback — And How to Answer It

We already have someone checking the cameras.
Manual checks tell you what's working right now. myDW tells you when something stopped working at 2am last Tuesday. Those are different things — and one of them happens between checks.
$3 per camera per month sounds like it adds up.
On a 16-camera system it's $48 a month. One call to your security company when you can't find footage after an incident probably costs more than that in time alone — and that's before anything actually happens. The 36-month subscription also works out better per month if they're committed to the long term.
We've never needed this before.
Most customers say that right up until they do. It's the same reason you have a fire suppression system — not because you expect a fire, but because you can't afford to find out without one. This is the same idea for your surveillance investment.
Is this something our IT department needs to set up?
No. It's completely browser-based — nothing to install, no network configuration changes, no IT involvement required. If they can open a browser, they're set up.
Can we try it before committing?
Yes. Ask me to request a demo key from our sales team — we can walk you through the platform on a live system so you can see exactly what it looks like before any money changes hands.
Best-Fit Targets

Who to Talk to First in Your Existing Base

Not every customer is the right first conversation. These are the profiles where myDW lands most naturally — prioritize these when you're getting started.

🏪
Multi-Location Retail
High camera counts, no dedicated IT, managers who can't physically check every location. The multi-site dashboard is the immediate value.
🏢
Property Management
Multiple buildings, minimal on-site security staff, compliance requirements. Remote health monitoring reduces physical visits.
🏫
Schools & Government
NDAA/TAA compliance, video evidence requirements, limited IT resources. SOC 2 attestation and 2FA speak directly to their procurement checklist.
🏭
Warehouses & Distribution
High camera counts, large facilities, 24/7 operations where downtime is costly. HDD and recording health alerts are especially valuable.
Getting a Demo Key

Let Them See It Before They Buy It

If a customer wants to see the platform before committing, contact your DW sales representative and request a demo key. We accommodate these on request and it's the most effective way to close a hesitant customer — there's nothing to explain once they've seen it running on their own system.
